I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a city break in Berlin. We had a lovely 2 night stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the hotel/rooms are spotless and beds were very comfortable. There was lots of choice at breakfast which satisfied us all. The location was perfect to explore the city. We did alot of walking but the underground stations were within 5 mins walk which is very handy as this is a large city!

This hotel kept 90% of the money I paid ( around 200$) despite the fact that I cancelled my reservation few days before my trip. This is a rip off, I would never consider or recommend this hotel to anyone. Total rip off. Very problematic experience with this hotel. We booked a triple room but were given a double room. When we questioned this the hotel lied and said we had only booked a double room. We produced the email confirmation showing that we had booked a triple room. The front of house explained they did not have a triple room, there was nothing they could do about it and that it was now our problem. We asked to speak to a manager and were told that was impossible because, 'in Germany managers do not work on Saturdays and Sundays'. Bizarre and upsetting experience. Would recommend avoiding this hotel as there are many better, similarly priced hotels close by.

If you love microscopic rooms without AC and light and TV control and personnel who speak the language, this is your Nirvana. Reviewers are asked to "Tell us the stuff you'd tell your friends", in 200 letters or more, but without profanity. 'Nuff said...

Pros: *Great location! Close to Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Tiergarten, Museum Island etc. Only a few minutes to Checkpoint Charlie (but why would you bother to spend much time at Checkpoint Charlie?) *Nice breakfast *Nice room (I had single use of double room), quite good amenities *Bar Cons: *This is a huge drawback: the room is actually very cold. The bathroom floor has no heat whatsoever. No chance to adjust the heat. I actually had to lie under the blanket to have a comfortable temperature. ...and this is for a guy from a very cold northern country. It was not just my room - my friend had exactly the same experience *The bar closes quite early *The reception staff was not very welcoming. No smiles were observed at any time
